Susan Davis, CGBP, NARI GCP, GPR is co-owner of GreenPoint Coach & Spectrum Fine Homes, Inc. - a residential Design+Build & Interior Design firm operating in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1990. An active member of Build-It-Green and NARI, Susan helped develop the National NARI Green Remodelers’ Education/Certification Program in 2005. With GreenPoint Coach, Susan created and facilitates the Sustainable Building Forum, which, since 2006,  has offered continuing education for design & building professionals and others interested in sustainability in the built environment. In 2008, Susan was invited to be on the GreenHomeGuide.com Advisory Board and contribute to the ‘Ask-the-Pros’ community forum on the website.

Established in 1978 by the late Harold Hammerman, this prestigious award recognizes excellence in training and education in the construction industry.

According to Harold Hammerman, “Both educators and contractors must work together to develop meaningful training programs that will help the contractor exercise professional standards and judgment which enhance the environment, demonstrate aesthetic qualities, enrich the life of customers and assure appropriate responsibilities.”

Any person whose work is related to the remodeling and building industries and who can show that he or she has trained and educated others, whether it be for a profit business or non-profit program in the
industry, is eligible. Individuals are judged based on their excellence in training and educating others in one or more of the following categories: advertising, design, specification and contract writing, building codes, sales training, estimating, production methods, management, public relations, legislation and financing.
